Heater blower not working

Post by M13esy »

My heater fan was working did make a noise now and then but today it’s stopped and the fuse keeps blowing? Would it be the fan motor? Heard it’s a nightmare to strip the dash to replace.

it is dash out , but its not as bad as everyone says, BUT you cant do it on the side of the road, you need both doors wide open to get to the bolts
frankly , you dont need the blower , you get plenty of airflow once moving

It is a big help de-misting the windscreen.

I replaced my heater motor in the summer. Not actually a difficult job but fiddly and a worry seeing your van with no dash and steering column hanging loose. Good idea to check around the window screen while dash out too.

Do you not need the fan on and open when you are bleeding the cooling system?

the fan makes no difference to the heat , only blowing it when not moving.... you DO need the heater switched to hot when bleeding
