I have had several T 3s over the last 20 odd years always when driving the temp gauge pointer has always been just left of the led and so it has been with my current T3 for the last 10 years recently even after a long run the pointer is further left than before if I get stuck in traffic the pointer will move past the led and the fan will kick in I have changed nothing the water levels are ok so why the change in gauge position

Could be one of several factors ,
The age-ed wiring changing in resistance , due to heat and vibrations , or damage
The actual temp sender changing its resistance due to age
The connection Fiona onto the sender dirty or corroded
The gauge it’s self , or 5he connections to it on the dash cluster being corroded

Or maybe the engine temp has actually changed , running leaner causes warmer running temperature
