1984 conundrum
No one I know but it’s a time of year when people get desperate, so please, at the very least remove your rotor arms or install a secret inline (- neg. of coil) £2 switch.

Re: 1984 conundrum
Holy thread revival!!
I’ve got a 1984 ‘Early’ 1.9 DG and my heating circuit is not getting 12v on start up. I tested this with a light pen on the red 2.5mm wire. I’ve tested relay 1 in the EJCB which checks out ok, which leads me to think it’s a faulty thermoswitch. I believe the relay is powered by a 12v feed from this, which (should) cut the 12v once the coolant is at temperature. What is the best way to test the thermoswitch?
