That's good news.

Having all those other loads pulling current through the winding will have likely caused it to fail.

Standard is good, freebies can be expensive :wink:

Next you'll be wanting your charge light to work :)

Really appreciate your help buddy, yeah just got to figure out the battery warning light now, comes on and off as it feels like, timing set up just take her for a run tomorrow and see how she goes, sounds a lot better though, still can't get my head around how it ran before? You think that could of caused the flat spots I've been trying to get rid of as well?

I don't know on the coil, I have never encountered one wired that way :rofl

Give it a drive and see how it goes. There's a couple of live charging threads around at the moment. Have a read of those, I suspect either dodgy wiring or an iffy voltage regulator. You should be testing the charging voltage with a meter as a first test.

Me either, I wouldn't of even looked at the wires on the coil if I hadn't took the dizzy out lol ah well see how she goes, once again, thanks (thumbs up)
