Folks,
I need to connect the alternator exciter lead to my ADY alternator.
At present I do not have the red light charge light and the alternator will start producing power if I blip the throttle.
There is a blue wire in the top left corner of the engine bay - is this what I'm looking for?

Possibly it is usually a single connector in the junction box. Test it, it should be live with the ignition on, if it is use a bulb test light probe the connector and to earth, the dash light should come on. That way you don't risk a short if it not.

Bigherb - it was the alternator exciter feed.
Now I have the charging light back and the alternator is doing what it should.
