resistor damage

Post by shrig1969 »

Evening everyone,
Been a long long time since I have posted anything on here(moved house, county and job) but I have continually used all your knowledge to attack various things on the van.

This week I have been forced into taking the dash out to replace the seized blower motor after running out of fuses......and came across this.
Its more of a heads up really of what might of been...

To the right of the screw was the remains of the plastic housing what the blower is encased in. Ouch! Shows what heat it gives out when not working correctly.

Ive decided to go with the PWM system instead. I know it works as I have tested it but I will spend the rest of the week remembering how to put everything back together.

Wiki is my lifelong friend :ok
I am no mechanic, but I try......
