Trouble finding the right alternator...

Post by Wilso »

Hey guys,

I'm having trouble trying to find the right alternator to replace mine as my bearings are going and I want to buy one with a warranty. I don't want to fiddle around with replacing the bearings as I've never done it before and would prefer to purchase a Bosch/ equivalent with a warranty.

The last 3 digits of the part number are missing off of my label so I only have; 026 903.... But I do have a Bosch number of 0 120 469 727. Bosch's website is saying this is discontinued and IU'm struggling to find anything on Just Kampers, VW Heritage or Brickwerks for a suitable replacement? I know it should be a 90amp one but the pulley wheel is flush with the fan on the front and most of the Alternators has a 'neck' between the fan and the pulley wheel... I need some help in identifying the right Alternator form van please?

Cheers

Dean

You can tell by the colour of the sticker. Green is 45A, Blue 65A, Pink 90A The pulleys are interchangeable you might have to swap over your old one.
