Hi All,
I know this isn't a very technical question but I need to buy a new starter battery and wondered if anyone had an opinion on what would be good to go for?
The battery we're replacing is a Drivemaster 065, and I've contacted a battery shop near me and they've quoted £73.49 for a new version of that battery (part code 075).
Does that sound alright or should I stump up more cash and go for a Bosch battery? That's the only make I've really ever heard off - limited knowledge on such things.
p.s we don't use a leisure battery
Hope this isn't to much of a novice question to ask.
Cheers
Mark

Re: Any recommendations for a new starter battery?
Car Parts 4 Less have a Lion battery which has 500 cold cranking amps (more than enough for our vans) for £56.38 - 12% discount with ‘spring12’ code, which offers £6.38 off = £49.51. Go into their site via Quidco and get an additional 2.4% cash back as well. So that’s £48.32 after discounts applied.
Product Code: 444770751
Personally I don’t worry about brands these days. I’m not convinced all battery’s don’t come out of the same factory.

Re: Any recommendations for a new starter battery?
morning
code 075 will fit , as will 085 , but 065 is the original size
the physical size cannot be larger than H175mm x W175mm x L300mm
frankly i would buy a battery from a battery shop , almost tyre and exhaust establishments are battery shops , ECP are not cheap but are convenient
if you are not in a hurry then buying direct online is the cheapest way i find , ECP are always much cheaper on line
a quick search came back with this
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Type-075-Hea ... SwqIhb-Crd" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
