Dashboard lights....
I have an odd set of working and non working dashboard warning lights - can anyone help to spot what might be the common issue? (I've read the page on common earths and am working on cleaning that up)

  • Indicator green flash - not working 95% of the time
Main-beam blue - not working 95% of the time
Battery light and Oil pressure - bright red when on pre-ignition position with key
bulbs to see at night and dimmer - all fine.
(Actual indicators outside and main beam all fine)
Oil pressure light faint glow when wet weather
Finally - most odd - use horn when lights on - water coolant temp/level light flashes (like on first start)

Tips really welcome - tools ready!

Thank you.

Contact CJH for his replacement kit. I did mine a few months ago and it fantastic. So much better than the original flexi pcb. Didn’t take long to put together. I can use a soldering iron, but I don’t do it often, so really easy. Also, from memory CJH will put the kit together for you at an extra cost. Simples :ok

I agree with JeffRoo, Chris' kit is excellent and great value compared with the commercial offerings, even if paying Chris to solder the components.
If your indicator and mainbeam lamps do not operate when the LEDs do not illuminate, you could try shorting the appropriate pins on the connecting block for the indicator stalk to rule out failing stalk contacts.
