Reversing lights

Post by Titus A Duxass »

In the photo you can see the black/blue wire that isn't connected to anything. That's the power free to the reversing lights.
On my other T3 (a diesel) this wire goes into the round 7 pin connector that feeds the light clusters.
On this bus (a petrol with rest washer wiper) there's a grey/white wire in the round connector instead of a black/blue. This grey/white goes into to bus loom.
I suspect that it has something to do with the rear wiper.

Can anyone tell me how to connect the reversing lights up?

Depends on year, VW wired the reverse lamps differently.
Grey/white is for the rear fog lamp.
Reverse lamps can be a single connector in the box with a single wire from the reverse light switch to a siamese output to the rear light clusters.

Like this.

Cheers Bigherb.
I spliced into the loom in the end.
