Opps, I've just fried my ecu (AHU tdi}

Post by bobby-gg »

Been working on the van this morning and forgot to plug in the plug for the maf sensor

Van started fine but quickly went in limp mode, flashing glow plug lamp, no throttle control, idling at 1100rpm and no scanguage readings

Pull over and check what's wrong, the maf plug has gone, wiring ripped out of the harness and melted.

I think it got caught in the power steering belt.

After repairing the damage and checking on vagcom it's basically lost every sensor, looks like everything from the ecu with a common power supply - swapped over to a spare ecu and it's running fine again.

Has anyone managed to repair a 68pin msa 15 ecu in this situation?

Thanks

Rob
