these as a whole unit are rare so as a spare, can i buy a single vac unit dizzy and put a new dual vac unit on it?
All the new distributors advertised for 2.1 dj's from all well known suppliers are single vac units so that's not completely right anyway!

I think you could put a twin vac can on a DG dizzy and it would be pretty close to a DJ dizzy, the tests CJH did on a rolling road were pretty close and the twin vac just gives you retard as well as advance.
A DG dizzy would be better than a generic new one IMO

i'm sure i've got a dual on my 1.9DG (with one side blocked off).

doesn't mean much could be a DF dizzy or even an Aircooled one.
