What's this connector found behind radio ?

Post by MagicWagon »

I'm currently in the process of wiring in a new stereo in my 1983 Aircooled devon and found this connector loose behind the dash.
Can't seem to identify it on haynes wiring diagrams. None of the connections seems to be live or earth.
Any ideas what it is ? If it's not needed I guess I should just tape it up and leave it.

that looks like a old cassette player plug, do away with it , its not a vw plug,
red= +12vdc
brown = -12vdc
green = left spkr
grey = right spkr

Great, thanks. I'll tape it up and tuck it away them. Going to use all new wiring for the new stereo anyway. Cheers.
