Dash pod glass (plastic) replacement

Post by bobby-gg »

I've been tidying up the dash area of my van and I'd like to reinstate the digital clock

I've dug out my old dash pod that has the clock mounting in it, but the speedo glass is slightly cracked along the bottom.

I would like to swap it out with my existing glass but on trying to prise it out it looks like it is plastic heat welded together.

So, has anyone managed to satisfactorily swap over the glass or do I learn to live with it

I think you will have to live with it.Or look for another pod.Personally i would do the latter,as driving around looking at the crack would annoy me.
