Diesel Rev Counter pre-wiring
Morning all. Asking on behalf of a friend who has an '86 Holdsworth Vision with a 1.6TD on a Caravelle conversion. He has no rev counter on the binnacle just a clock but would like to install an aftermarket tacho. Looking on posts on here we have worked out that a link to the "w" terminal on the alternator is required but rather than running a new line from front to back, is anyone aware if there is likely to be any spare lines in the existing loom which could utilised?

Re: Diesel Rev Counter pre-wiring
I don't know the answer, but the later petrol WBX have a rev counter signal that serves the DOPS system.
Maybe the wire is still present in the wiring loom for a diesel. It's green and it is visible in the wiring box on the engine bulkhead.
