Dash Battery Light split second illumination when switch off

Post by maxstu »

Hi,
Any pointers please?
I thought dash battery bulb had blown. Oh could it that simple. So replaced with new bulb without success apart from new bulb now momentarily flickers when switching off ignition. Also high beam illumination has disappeared...and with MOT pending, what a backward step! Have checked both bulbs and power supply...all good.
Earth crown under dash or something more sinister perhaps?

Apart from the Main Beam, the indicators are LED's and have to be inserted the correct way, one leg is positive the other negative. Just wondering if you have inserted it incorrectly, try removing it and re fitting the other way around. The Main Beam is conventional filament bulb but miniature, it may need renewing, take it out and test with a multi meter set to ohms.
