New battery recommendation

Post by Ian and Lins »

It looks like I might need a new starter battery. It's to replace an Exide EB542 but I've been quoted nearly £100. Is this about right? Petrol 1.9 DG and fits under the driver's seat.
Are we going on anything else?

Sounds expensive for a petrol engine battery, shop around. Make sure the battery height is correct if you have a metal battery housing lid.

Exide is a good make but not that expensive. Should only be around half that price.

Thanks all. After your comments I did shop around and got one a lot cheaper. Thanks for saving me nearly £50!
