coolant warning light

Hello I was just reading an earlier thread about the coolant warning light and flashing and realized I don't have any light working under the temperature gauge.The temperature gauge is working though. I don't have van that long its a 1985 Devon with Aerospace poptop 1.9dg what should I be looking for to fix this Thanks.

The LED is in the gauge and part of an internal circuit. Check the centre nut of the gauge is tight but other than that you have to replace the gauge or repair it. The gauge can be dismantled but it is not a simple process and very easy to damage. Even when dismantled you have to establish whether it is the LED or the microchip or some other component.

There is one on Ebay at £15 at the moment.
