What is this?

I've got my dash off for the dreaded heater fan replacement and plan to tidy up the rats nest of aftermarket wiring while I'm in there. I found this hiding away, anybody know what it is?

Looks like it is intended to switch a few amps by the size of the relays and cable.
Got on idea otherwise. :?

whats the number on the chip?

Chip number is MC145028P - Motorola I think. None of it was connected to anything, the male sockets are there but the wiring goes nowhere.

encoder decoder pairs, my guess is a remote controlled imobiliser or alarm, where was it exactly?

Hanging (literally) behind and underneath the instrument console - unconnected apart from to a couple of earth points.

It's been tapped into at some point - I'm chucking all the excess anyway but was curious as to what it was. I think you're right re remote alarm.
