Is there an easy way to check that the sender is working ok ? .
Auto sleeper fitted with EJ 20 subaru lump

You can only really do a continuity check. Its basically a variable resistor so you could use a multimeter and at least get an ohms reading. The reading should be different if tank has more or less fuel in. Its easy to test with tank out but that opens a can of worms if tank is original.

Cheers cov . It's a new tank so will be easy to get out again . Just didn't want too :ok

I reused my sender when I replaced my tank a month ago but must admit I did test it fully throughout the range before installing and refitting the tank. Removing tank isn't too bad, but really not a winter job - brrrrrr :shock:
