This seems to get asked a fair bit.
Here is a thread with my solution.

I have one that sticks to the inside of the windscreen near the A pillar. Dead easy to then drop the wire down into the dash. Just had to expose a bit of the metal on the A pillar (internally!) to get a decent earth. Installed over 2 years ago and works just fine (and a whole lot easier than an externally mounted aerial). Mind you it basically stays on 5Live SportsX but TMS in digital clarity is a thing of beauty!

I believer it was this one:

(Other retailers are available and probably cheaper!)

I got away without the scraping metal bit but I guess it got its connection to the earth through the leads.

I bought a car dab splitter off ebay and it works well with the existing aerial - and still working after some scrote snapped aerial off in a guildford car park a few weeks ago.
