Diesel clocks

Hi all,The ribbon on my late diesel clocks,i think only on the 3 illumination lights on top has burned out,anyway i had them rewired and everything seems good,it all works now,only thing is my battery now goes dead overnight,drops to about 4.5v,is there anything on the dash(if something else was wrong/burnt)would cause this drain?,the positive terminal on the battery is an aftermarket one,and not the best to be honest,and didn't cause an issue before i had the ribbon repaired,sorry for all the questions but my van is a 1.6d n/a without a clock LHD,if i fitted the clocks off a 1.6d jx turbo with clock,would these work,and hopefully solve the problem?not very clued up on electrickery,anybody have any thoughts?,i hav'nt got the clocks to swap over and try,but theres some finishing soon on ebay,thanks Dave
