Things have come to a halt until the snow has gone and its warmed up a bit
One quick question while ive got the front end in bits, is that fibre board round the radiator realy necesary? it was in bits anyway and as far as i could see it was holding water and causing the rot on the front cross beam .

Mike explained this to me and I have to agree it's a design fault that you can do without.

Bit too cold to do any welding today so decided to take the front matts out. There had been a piece of carpet glued down over the rubber and when pealed back it left most of the foam backing:-S. After an hour of scrubbing I had the smaller matt that fits between the seats cleaned , however some glue has been left behind. Whats the best thing to remove the glue without damaging the rubber ?

found this bit of rot on top of the wheel arch where it meets the upright(is that the B pilar where the seatbelt real is mounted)

Cut that out and the rot was very localised but had spread into the upright pilar aswell, Cut it all out then made 3 patches to fit.
Image
Thats the pasengers seeting area about done . Ill be moving onto the drivers side next.
