I think it was RAL5015. The van had been sprayed with primer before I bought it, so I rollered it in one night after work. Still needs rubbing down three years later.

Boxy & Weldore, they look fab! Mine's only got the one coat on at the moment too and isn't quite finished yet but I'm grabbing the odd warm hour while I can to get it all covered and at least winter-proofed.

(Her LT, but I'll let you off on that one  ) I've used Porcelain Blue on mine, 20C33, it's a little brighter than the colour chart but looking good. It's painted over a metallic grey, no primer except for the rust repairs.

Keep these coming as I'm setting up a gallery over on http://www.sickfly.co.uk/gallery.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; too. Mind you, can't be many wanting to brave the cold and rain. :D

They all look very good and everyone has acheived fantastic results BUT I'd like to see a macro shot of the finish before I am convinced to ditch my spray kit

Here are pics of our 'Doodah'! The paint was mixed for me and we actually sprayed it rather than rollered! had never sprayed before but meant we could get a number of thinner layers on it quickly before the first festival last year!! (WITH MASSIVE THANKS TO KAMINOKID AND MY OH!)

BEFORE: Roller painted in hammerite!

Image
Image

DURING: Full metal strip back, replacement of panels, welding, and completely refurbed interior.(Purple and cream!!)

Image
Image

AFTER: Still got a polish back last coat and apply another when the weather is warmer.

COST LESS THAN £100 - There was no way I could have afforded a respray!!!!!!

It gets alot of attention!!! I love her to pieces!!!

Thank you! I remember when I was first looking at using Rustoleum, reading through your thread and the pages of instructions and tips and thinking ' I think we could do this'!!
It was the most frightening thing we did taking her apart - but I love her even more than I did before and I know the condition of every inch of the van. :ok
Thank you
