Re: Paint Your Wagon - with a roller!
No idea - should say on the tin. Pictures of before/after would be good. Lots of paints can be applied by roller but most take far more skill and some degree of baking.

Re: Paint Your Wagon - with a roller!
Here it is, im trying to do somewhat thorough foundations where to apply paint. Using acrylic rattle can primer and proper putty. It is almost finished now, the pic was taken a week ago.

Find yourself an old car door or similar and try it on that first. If it doesn't work then at least it won't be your van that shows. Best to start your own thread though if you're using two pack.

Re: Paint Your Wagon - with a roller!
I've attempted to roll 2k and the solvent in it dissolved the glue holding the foam roller together - within about a minute, the foam had detached itself from the core.
Maybe you could get a small sample of paint from the paint shop and try it out first before you buy a large amount.

Re: Paint Your Wagon - with a roller!
This is why Rustoleum works so well. To all intents and purposes its inert when it comes to affecting rollers although if you paint white and have old window rubbers, you'll get black streaks as soon as it rains.

Re: Paint Your Wagon - with a roller!
Can someone give me a link to the right type of rustoleum paint please. I googled it and got furniture pain - not sure if it's the same thing. Also, do they do metallic paints or are they all matt
Thanks

Most people use gloss. You can get satin as well which is good for bumpers etc. Metallic would be in aerosols only.

Re: Paint Your Wagon - with a roller!
Just did mine with satin finish, too bad in my side of the car (2 painters) i painted with too dry roller and it left roller marks. Other side is good as my pal knows how to paint haha. We painted with 2 component paint, and quess we'll have to wait for few days more if i want to apply another layer of paint to the bad side, tried sanding it after 12 hours of drying in 15C but it just filled the sandpaper in an instant.
IF i want to have a matt finish, what grit sandpaper should i use? (if it ever will be sandable)

Re: Paint Your Wagon - with a roller!
Can't advise myself and personally don't advocate anything other than gloss due to the way it dries.

Re: Paint Your Wagon - with a roller!
Thanks, its RAL 5019, this paint is some heavy duty crap, used for painting ships! Can withstand acids etc and has zinc in it. If this rusts, i will burn it.
