Anyone got an amazing tip?

Post by Seababa »

Happy Crimbo all.

Like an massive eediot, I wiped the inside of my windscreen (car not van) to clear the condensation with my spare beret and the cap badge has scratched the inside. Tried to polish it out but still there. Anyone got any tips? Googled it but just putting it out there too.

Cerium oxide. It's what they uses to use to make lenses

I have used it to get rid of wiper blade scratches etc, but it's very slow work

Someone I know used something similar to this on a old triumph screen that he couldn’t replaced before a show he was due to be judged in .... dunno how long term it was but it worked by all accounts

It's a hardening liquid that has the same refractive index as glass. Like Glassbond adhesive.
