Alternative fiamma brackets

Post by andrew882 »

Hi all,

I've just picked up an f45 awning that I want to fit to my van, and have almost had a stroke when I saw the cost of the fiamma brackets!

Can anyone suggest an alternative? Looking for something to fit in to the gutter to avoid any drilling.

Thanks

Andrew

You need the proper brackets IMO.

Imagine this thing falls off on a motorway and kills somebody?

Only other alternative I can see is attaching it to roof bars on a tin top with decent brackets would I think be safe enough, but hanging it off a gutter on one side needs careful engineering design.

If you have a height top, mount it straight to the hitop with spreader plates within.
