Hi All
Hope all good in driving and Camping in the T25 scene on here.
I have a question please, and if anybody has done this I would very much appreciate your feedback.
Within the pop-top there are small clear windows size approx of 355mm long x 60 mm wide, 2 of these in my camper are split and are of no use I have got some replacement material which came from the back of an old Austin Healey Sprite convertible top rear screen and is approx. 2mm thick, I have also got some much thinner clear material from the windows of an old tent, which I intend to utilise 1 of these.
I have attempted to glue this in place, but failed miserably. If anybody has done this, could you state which glue you used for a permanent fix, and the material that was used.
Your assistance would be much appreciated please on this as I am getting no where fast on this I am afraid.
Regards
LLoyd

Re: Holdsworth Villa- 3 Pop -Top Window Repair
The windows in my villa 3 are fitted with standard window seal and bead, I'd take the lot out and cut a piece of perspex the right size and same thickness then refit.
anything else is a bodge and 2mm thick won't be enough

Re: Holdsworth Villa- 3 Pop -Top Window Repair
Hi Itchy
Many Thanks for the reply ,however the solution will not fit in this case, as the pop top is not solid material where the windows are both plastic concertina, and the size is only 55mm x 355mm long so rubber seal would virtually fill up all the window width and would not fit in an any case as plastic fabric is only approx 1-2mm thick. I know there are many variants but the pop top is all concertina fabric with no plastic solid section around. The existing windows are clear pvc fabric and perspex will not bend / fold down when pop top is pushed down.
Anyway thanks for the reply and regards.

Sounds like a Villa 1.

If it is a Villa 1, then I would think any vehicle sunroof specialist should be able to repair for you?
Btw, if you put in your signature what exact van you have it does help with members answers!

Aren't the pvc tent windows normally stitched to the canvas?

Re: Holdsworth Villa- 3 Pop -Top Window Repair
Hi There
Many Thanks for the replies it is a Mark I as shown in the attachment from Nesty, when I purchased many years ago was advertised as Villa 3 model. I was enquiring if anyone had had any success ref repair and the glue they used, however I will enquire about a roof specialist as they will undoubtedly be a better fix. Hi Oldie the windows appear to be welded in but will see any options available.
Many Thanks to all

I thought mine was a Villa 3, as it had hard sides until I found the Holdsworth page and was corrected, it's quite informative of the models.
Hope you get it sorted ok.
