Fitting whistle stops

Postby mariner » 29 May 2019, 10:20

Hi all. I've just ordered some whistle stops but I'm a little uncertain where they fit. Do they fit onto the cab door itself or the channel that runs down the van directly in front of the door? Cheers!

If you mean the rubberised blades with four mounting points - they are mounted on the body to fill the gap between the door and the end of the front wing (if you can call it a wing).
They are not a simple fit as the vans that they were fitted to had specific points on the body for the 2 of the self-tapping screws to go into.

It should not be too difficult to get around the missing bumps with some spacers and long screws.
I have to do the same at some point but the task is on my roundtoit list.
