Threshold strip

Post by Sir Brixalot »

Mine is rough and ready zinked type, very practical but doesn't look great. Is there any out of the can paint tough enough for it. Thinking Hammerite but will it look "pooh"

you could use Smoothrite......hammerite but without the hammered finish.. Did a M/C frame in it years ago and it
lasted well.

As they say the finish is in the prep.

If you mean the one by the sliding door then there are or were stainless steel ones available. Mine looks good & has never worn.

Thanks. I see Vanwurks sell them but it looks like the marine ply will need trimming to fit it. Easier to paint what I have

Mines an Autosleeper & did not need any trimming of the flooring.

Cheers Jeff. Mine has thick marine ply on the floor. Is that original or added by a past owner-its hard to tell with Autosleepers :D

Same as mine, but it could have been replaced of course. Mine had a plastic threshold before I replaced it not a metal one as you have.
