Will a sliding door from a 82 bus fit a 86 bus are there any differences ?

they are significantly different as is the c pillar of the van and the way they latch and the middle runner mechanism; I think someone has swapped them but I wouldn't try to, early doors are premium price and generally easier to find late ones but good ones are always pricey

Its not a clever thing to do, what would happen if you wanted to sell the van, buyers who know about the changes vw made to the late door are going to think something dodgy is going on.
