Fitting a Taifun grill.

Having driven over my original grill (doh!) I've got a Taifun one and hella inner spots to replace it.
Anyone got any tips on fitting it?
The mounting holes don't line up with the original clips in the front of my late bus.
Is it simply a matter of drilling new holes and using long self tappers? or are there any nifty tricks you've used?
