Don't start from the bottom.
Don't be scared.
Do use some silicone spray to jeep things slide nicely.
Do have a longer piece of string than you think you need.
Do start from the top in the centre and pull the string towards the centre of the screen.
Do take your time.

To rely on just the rubber for a good seal isn't good for peace of mind, the window seals on new vans have leaked, the original vw rubber was top quality but it doesn't mean its a guaranteed leak free fit. How will you know if they are sucking in water through a tiny gap ?
