Welding in Yorkshire

Post by adsnape »

Hi
I need some welding done on the sills of my van, can anyone recommend a decent workshop with capacity and who will do a good job. There's a few round here I wouldn't use again.

It's a big place, more chance of a useful answer if you say whereabouts you are

There's a couple of places I know in East Cleveland. Close enough or too far for you ?

http://www.rustybugworkshop.co.uk/

I get my bottled gas from them and have seen some of the work they do

http://www.dub-werks.co.uk/

I haven't had any work done by him either, but he was recommended to me.

Ask for Dan, tell him the recommendation came from Jamie at Merc-Spec (that's not me)

Ha! That was my point Image.

I was reading a post by the OP and thought to scroll back to see what age van they had before answering a technical question. Saw this and thought it's probably not worth it. OK, a bit passive aggressive and obtuse of me maybe, but sometimes it gets to me like that. I just wish people would follow up and update threads for the benefit of others, otherwise the whole forum is a bit pointless. Or is it just me getting old and grumpy?
