About style...

Doing some bodywork and general rust...do I keep the Devon stripes or get rid of them?

(the VW stickers will go, the wheels will be dark metallic grey, traditional hubcaps (the matt grey kind, not chrome).

Its going to look bland without them, keep them inc the cab door vw ones. The late spec original plastic wheel trims are a good choice.

I'd agree with multisi - originality is good :)

Looks a lot tidier than most, can't be too much work required.?

Not too much work and a quick coat of white primer hides a lot. Yet to find out what colour it is, no sticker and neither pastel or the other VW white...

Originally I was going to replace the wheel arches (on the other side) which have quite a lot of filler in them but decided to spend the money on making the thing fit in the garage instead. Probably best in the long run.
