Best adhesive for seals, mainly engine bay

Post by Troopy »

Any advice on this guys?

I am assuming that the engine bay seal would need something that wouldn't go brittle with heat

I used a contact adhesive a few years ago, everything is still stuck down.

Agree contact adhesive will work ok - personally i'd recommend evo-stick.
My seal for some reason was stuck to the hatch rather than the body - I presume this is wrong.
I've a new seal waiting to go on from brickwerks - strangely the genuine one was cheaper than non genuine!
Just need to figure out if the rounded side is faced down into recess or up to make contact with hatch - the latter makes more sense to me.
