God, I just realised this is another easily removed item for people to nick, perhaps I should stick with black bumpers

Re: JK 'extra thick' chrome bumpers
My JK front bumper has arrived today - the rear one is back ordered. First impressions are very good. Very heavy gauge, no sharp edges, the chrome 'looks' great (not sure how to tell how good it is though), and the inside face has a layer of grey paint over the chrome. I'll have a go at fitting it over the weekend to see how well the mounting holes line up. I'm optimistic at this stage though.

If they are off and brand new. it would be worth putting as many coats of a long lasting wax on as possible/ without feeling silly.
Give them as much protection as possible especially while they are off as they do take alot of abuse over the years. A Spray on wheel sealant from halfrauds is a good option.

I got both of mine
Trial fit at lunch to see how the look will be and they are both in the loft now. Very bling.

Not fitting them until paint is done for the year but figured with the vat off it’d be worth buying early

Charming. I did a trial fit of the front bumper, and it fits perfectly. I'm very pleased with my VAT-free purchase - seems like a quality product. I just hope they get more stock of the rear bumpers....

Yeah I feel bad especially as it’s got a few weeks of loft life to go yet before it’s needed. Both bumpers look good though

Don't feel bad - I won't need mine for several months yet. Did you order the one without holes for the rubber trim? Those are still in stock apparently.
