Fitting lap belts ( I’ve checked and can’t find answer :-) )

Post by biker1981 »

Sorry if it’s been done to death... but have searched wiki and archive I can’t find the answer. I need to fit two lap belts to the back of my T25 holdsworth conversion. I have bought the belts from Jk with suitable mounting plates. I’m fine to weld... just not sure on the the mounting point locations.

I have installed previous in stocks cars and the rules used to be no less than 15”apart... and a 70 angle going forward to the seat. I will prob replace with 3point at later date but need the, sorted to use van

Is there any direction on how best to install please it looks like mounting plate in middle and then other plate to the wheel arch.. any help or direction appreciated

Was your van a caravelle or panel van? If it was a caravelle the mounts should already be there with a round plastic cap with a Phillips head keeping them sealed.
The exact rule will be in here:

Refers to this document which has all your specs you were after at para 4.1 specifications
