Looking for opinions about paintjob

Post by Troopy »

OK, so decided Troopy is going to be sky blue with a white high top instead of his current 50 shades of white.

My question is, should I do bumpers, grills etc white or leave them black?

Any opinions welcome :D

Hi, the colour scheme sounds pretty good - how well behaved are your local flying friends?
The birds local to us have had great fun dive bombing our white T25, right up until we got a bright red Fabia, six years old but still nice and shiny. Now they aim at that!
Re colour of bumpers, etc. How often do you wash and polish your van? Black doesn't show the grime so much...

Leave them black if they are faded just spray them black plasticote makes the van stand out a bit.

I’m loving the sky blue and white on mine, figured units and side panels on the inside can be some sort of pine / oak colour.

Gonna follow this thread closely.

Some inspiration for you.

Okay, that might be twilight but here’s a daylight one.

Hope this gives an idea of what end results could be.

Fun.

Thanks for the pics, looks great.

Think I will stick with the black then.

If you make it to Bearded Theory let me know and hopefully we can meet up and compare vans :D

Try this it’s pretty self explanatory and the colours are all listed by factory code or you can pick any colour.

My van is being painted mid blue.
High top I plan to roller
It’s going to be white
My question is the shade?
Any of you used a standard RAL on the roof?
Cheers

Bumpers to match hitop but still with black end caps. BTW the stripe was supposed to match the hitop but the chap who resprayed the van was a bit rubbish. Top (and bumpers) are be pastel (sorry can't recall code). The body is colour is Ford Nordic Blue. It gets mixed reactions from nice to " a ninety nine please guv" to Scooby mobile.
