Sliding window latch

Post by Swebby »

Hi all,
Is there a specific latch that is used with the sliding windows to keep them secure? I just seem to have a movable plastic bit which whilst it works to keep it closed, doesn't seem overly secure.

Cheers

I don't have a solution but I'm also interested in the answer! We have exactly the same arrangement but on one of ours the channel the lifty plastic strip runs in has started to break. I'd like to refurb the windows and can source the channel felt but I'm stumped as to how to fix the catch.
