Welding new cab steps

Post by Savara »

I'm about to get the van treated with Dinitrol and the last bits (that I can see, lol) of significant rust is the front cab steps. I'm looking to sort this properly and get new steps welded in. Has anyone done this and can recommend who makes/sells the best panels? I've heard some nightmare stories of people trying to fit non genuine parts and want to make my welding guy's life easy as possible! How about Schofields? VW Heritage? JK? Love some input, especially as looking at pics online they don't all appear to be the same shape?? cheers..

I got a repair piece from brickwerks, trimmed as much as i needed to off the edges to cover what we chopped away, no probs with it. Good luck.

Thanks - will have a look at Brickwerks one. As for photos, need to scrape off the almighty amount of underseal to see anything other than bubbling in the footwell. See if I can sort some pics..
