Tailgate badge removal

Post by Ant-t »

I'm replacing one of my tailgate badges, can anyone give any pointers on how to remove the old plastic badge and fit the new one?

Remove the tailgate door card. The badges are held on with clips That push on the lugs on the back of the badge. Quite often these are snapped and the badges are held on with double-sided sticky tape.

When I replaced my tailgate, which had rusted out at the bottom, I welded up and filled the badge holes, on the basis that they are another place for the water to get in. I then removed the tabs from the old badges and reapplied them using good quality double sided tape.
