Does anyone know what the product is called that bonds the inner frame/ carcass to the panels? Or a suitable substitute they can recommend?

In the end I went with that tigerseal. Appears to remain very flexible when cured, but then again is only days old so still might need curing longer.

Are you sure that he said silicone? There are structural and non structural adhesives.
Structurals are two component resin based and non structurals are one component polyurethane based. And there are the seam sealers which are non structural polyurethane adhesives with more flexibility.
You need the non structural adhesive ones for the parts that were glued originally.
E D I T: household silicone sealants will eat through metal due the acid content. So not suitable for automotive use.
