Wet flooring

Post by bat »

Hi All
just sent the van of to get some welding on the wheel arches don and have finally started updating the interior, to do this I had to remove the old (original) flooring. I was advised by Doug (Dougs vw-werks) that it would be a good idea to replace this as it's a bit of a moister trap.
Having removed it and stood it up in the garage, it became apparent just how much.

This felt dry when I removed it but I now have a very wet garage floor as the water has drained out.
not wanting to tech my grandmother to suck eggs but I think if enyone still has the original flooring it might be a good idea to consider replacing it

Regards Gary

I think it had lost the S of the HTTP again, added now but can't tell from here if it has worked.

It's OK now :ok

You must be more careful with your S's - you keep losing them. :rofl I wonder if it is because 80/90 isn't s http but then I would have thought someone else would have had it happen also.

I think the reason the floor was so wet has been found.

Image

strange that I haven't notest any drop in coolant level

I was hoping to move the heater to one the side anyway, now I'm going to be removed completely and replace it with a diesel heater, in a more convenient position.
A few more hole in the floor for Dan to weld, (I will get the Beast to float :D )
