So this wasn't what I expected got up to a leak in the skylight... outside of my pay grade so any ideas welcome.
Even a temp fix would help to stop it getting any worse as it's pouring down here!!

Re: Leaking skylight
I doubt you can do much from the inside, at best possibly reduce the amount getting in. My skylight got damaged and I had to replace it but, as a temporary fix, I used Duck tape and a bin liner to cover the entire skylight. I drove 250 miles and it did the job.
My van is a little over 8ft high and I used folding ladders to get to the roof, take care if using step ladders as you really need someone to support them while you lean to the centre of the roof.
You need to get up and see if you can see where the skylight is leaking or take it to a garage, caravan centre, etc, and see if they will sort it.

As a temp' fix this stuff is good https://www.screwfix.com/p/flashband-bo ... GwodAWIE9A" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; it can be used to seal the edges from the outside and will stop any leaks.

Thanks....someone else suggested Gorilla Tape, so I guess similar stuff? Will this type of tape cover the old sealant though?

More sealant would be better than tape which may not last till spring comes around. Have you had a chance to look at the outside of the skylight ?

The outside doesn't look too bad - can't see an obvious source of the leak anyway.

Re: Leaking skylight
It would only take a hairline gap in wet weather to take in the water as long as the actual skylight isn't cracked. Maybe scrape off the old sealant and apply a bead of new.

Yes this stuff will i've used it, there's a thread on here somewhere about using it on the bottom of the windscreen rubbers to stop leaks. It can be cut to size.Dhammadad wrote:jrt wrote:As a temp' fix this stuff is good https://www.screwfix.com/p/flashband-bo ... Re: Leaking skylight
If you go through the roof you'll need more than sticky tape....
