Sliding door help

Post by scarycamper »

Hi all can someone give me some advice on a sliding door please? I travelled all the way to South Wales from Manchester to pick up a late sliding door that was in great condition to get it and find it’s an early sliding door  can I use all my hinges and mechanism off my late sliding door to get it to fit? Sorry but I don’t know the difference and I’m not doing the work and am having trouble finding the answer I know the mechanisms are different but can they be swapped and are the doors the same size? I know the tailgates aren’t and I need one of those too!! Sorry for the long post! Thanks in advance

The sliding door was redesigned so had a lot of changes, the catch area on the c post was revised aswell, source the correct age door. The tailgates are the same size but the lock area was changed around 1985.
