INNER SILLS
I Have recently waxoyled the inner sills on my 84 VW T25 and noticed that one of the natural holes in both sills had been duct taped over. These are the oblong shaped holes about 5 inches long, there appears to be not damage to the area. I have removed the tapes and waxoyled the whole area, is this normal practice to cover these holes up. Please advise Rgds Tony

Re: INNER SILLS
Mine are not covered, I notice a drain hole directly underneath.
There is tape covering similar elongated slots in the chassis members but not all are covered and wondered if it had anything to do with previous anti corrosion treatment, may be to contain the injected fluid and stop it escaping?
Impossible to cover with tape as it will not stick unless the area is cleaned of any wax residue so left mine uncovered.

Yes, both mine had a tape over, from the factory.
