Removing rear seat - on Westfalia with eberspacher.

Post by sweetaswesty »

I'm taking the seat/bed/locker out of our Westfalia California. I've removed all the bolts and machine screws Bentley identifies plus a few more fixings because of the eberspacher and the battery charger but it won't shift. It's meant to pull out but it's still stuck.
The outlet for the eberspacher looks like it might be in the way? I've removed the screwed down covers but the actual outlet looks like it is solidly connected to the stuff below the floor? And there are no obvious fixings to remove from inside the van.
Any advice gratefully received.
If I can avoid removing the bits of the eberspacher below the floor for now I'd like to as they look scarily old, rusty and solid and are telling me they won't take just a few minutes to get out.

its probably different to my Westy Joker 1984 - but may help show some of the fixing brackets (4 main ones on floor) ....I've got various other stages of removal if similar or useful.

Brilliant - that was just the help I needed. The outlet was just a bit firmly wedged in place, a bit of a heave and now it's freed up. Thanks.
