Another 'leak' problem

Oh.., I guess I'm getting incontinent.., but on a more sober note.

I've been getting leaks of water through my windscreen. There is one that I am sure has to do with the seal of the windscreen, but I also get water collecting under the floor matting on the passenger's side. I thought that this was running down from the windscreen, down the vertical front of the footwell and then onto the flat surface under the camper's rubber matting. I checked this possibility out, and no water seems to run down the vertical front of the footwell beneath the windscreen, at all, so the water must be coming from somewhere else. I haven't the foggiest of where this might be, but I'm wondering if the water is coming in through the venting that must exist for the fan and heater? If anyone has had this problem then please enlighten me.

Its usually and a common problem with these vans.The corner metal under the seal that has rusted out,the only way to tell is remove the glass im afraid.

Ha, ha.., but I did look at the Wiki. I'm aware of the issues relating to the windscreen, but the other, and peculiar, problem is the water under the mats. It seems not to be ingressing from the window seal, which is where you'd expect it. I've put pads up against the vertical front sides of the foot well and water isn't running down them - the pads are dry. So my question is, where else can the water be coming from?

Interesting you should suggest the washer jets. Just today, my wife queried if they could be a culprit. Maybe even the windscreenwiper hubs?

old trick i used, talcum powder, squirt it on yje surface you suspect the water maybe travelling down, and if it does, it will leave a track in the find dusty powder.....

Of course.., I've seen talc recommended before. THe only trouble is that it doesn't adhere to vertical surfaces well, but I might as well give it a try on the horizontal surface, it'll show where the water is actually heading out from. Thanks!

I had a similar problem. Near side washer was loose. Sealed it, sorted it!
