Hi all,
I'm in need of a respray and wondering if anyone has used any good bodyshops in SE London, or the South East.

Cheers,
Peter

I'd be interested to know what they quote you. I'm thinking of going for a bright colour once I've done body work bits and peices

Why not a roller job. Easy after you have done the repairs. Your welcome to pop down and look at mine.
PS You have another email from me after the photo re-send.

just got mine back from a place in Croydon, he sprayed it 8 years ago and was good and knows t25 and t2 , picked it up today and v happy, feel free to pm me if you would like to see his work. I did the rust prep ( grit blasted seams etc ) and removed windows . I have found him good , honest and reliable.

Be interested to see what it looks like. Are you doing prep on your repairs or is he? How much roughly if you don’t mind saying

I did all the rust ( what there was of it) prep ( grind out seams and grit blasted, then epoxy primed)and stripped the van bare, all glass out, bumpers off etc just left the lights in so that I could drive it there. He did all the pretty prep, I prefer to do the rust prep myself so that I know what is there and also how well it was treated. He did weld in a lower front panel and sliding door seal channel when it was sprayed last time and the fit was good.
Very happy for you to visit, we are just at the top of M23. The paint shop is only 5 mins walk from East Croydon station so transport links good, I'll pm price that I paid but please bear in mind that this is dependent on how much they do.

Just finished putting all back together and off for MOT test this afternoon :ok

Thanks got your pm. It’s good to know roughly what these things cost. I’ve found a place really close to me that is family run, I’m going to go talk to them and see what they say.

two of the reasons for going to the chap that I used was that he knows the construction of the T25 and the importance of the seam finish and also his oven/spray booth was large enough to get my hi-top in, good luck with your local chap, it is always nice to deal with a family run business.

Good point about the seams. They came and had a look, weren’t phased by oven size (mines a poptop though). They are old fellas so I’d expect they have been there and done it for most of it. I’m tempted to let them at it.

sounds good, always worth dropping in to see their work in progress, when they are unprepared. Hope that makes sense. Old is a relative concept, I think that I qualify for that now, trouble is the self image doesn't believe it.

Yeah that makes sense, they aren’t very far from me (less than a mile) so I can easily pop down.
